Bottango Nova
Run your show with Bottango Nova.
Bottango Nova is the show control board of the Bottango lineup, built to make multi-board projects easier to run, connect, and coordinate.
Use Bottango Nova to bring multiple Bottango control boards together into one unified show. Run exported Bottango shows directly from Nova with no computer required. Or use Bottango Nova as a low-latency wireless bridge between your computer and other Bottango control boards.
With a microSD card reader, three animation trigger buttons, and 8 GPIO pins, Bottango Nova is also ready for custom show-control setups, sensors, triggers, and unique hardware integrations across the Bottango ecosystem.
New orders usually ship in 1 - 2 business days.

Create Connections
Bottango Nova makes it easier to connect and coordinate multiple Bottango control boards.
Use Bottango Nova as a low-latency wireless access point between your computer and other Bottango control boards, or use it to link boards together as part of a larger show. Bottango Nova can coordinate connected boards wirelessly or through daisy-chained wired RS485 connections, helping separate pieces of hardware come together as one unified project.
Learn How To Use Bottango Nova
Built for Show Logic
Bottango control boards are made to work together. Bottango Nova makes it easy.
Bottango Nova gives your project a dedicated single point for animation playback, show logic, inputs, and Bottango control board coordination.
Run exported shows from a microSD card, trigger animations with the onboard buttons, and use the 8 GPIO pins to connect sensors, buttons, and custom hardware. Bottango Nova can sit at the center of your setup, helping connected Bottango control boards respond together as one coordinated show.

Details on required hardware, feature guides, use case recipes, downloads and more are included in the Bottango control boards documentation.
Bottango Nova DocumentationBottango control boards are a great way to utilize the most powerful features of Bottango's software without needing to design and implement your own bespoke hardware. Bottango control boards are made to "just work" with Bottango's powerful animatronic and robotic software.
Export animations to a microSD card and playback animations on Bottango Nova without a connected computer. Although Bottango Nova usually doesn't directly control any servos or motors itself, it acts as a show controller, serving out animations to other connected Bottango control boards.
Three trigger buttons allow for triggering animations in standalone playback mode. The trigger buttons also have header pins to place custom buttons off board. Stop button on board as well.
Bottango control boards can create a low latency wireless access point, allowing easy and performant wireless streaming of animations between two or more control boards. Connect Bottango Nova to your computer, and you can set it up to serve out data from the Bottango application wirelessly to other control boards.
Bottango Nova is optimized to be the show controller of the Bottango control boards.
Bottango control boards can communicate with each other using wireless or wired RS485 communication options. All control boards contain functionality to allow them to work together.
Bottango Nova is designed to be the control board containing your show, and serving it out standalone to other connected control boards.
Bottango Nova runs on open source firmware. You can change how Bottango Nova works at the code level and upload your own custom firmware to the board.
But no code is needed, you can use all these features out of the box without writing your own code.
Bottango Nova has 8 GPIO header pins. Use the pins and open source firmware to add custom sensors, buttons, etc. to your show controller logic. Or you could use the pins to control custom effectors not supported out of the box with Bottango control boards currently.
Bottango Nova also has a Qwiic connector, for easy addition of Qwiic compatible sensors, peripherals, etc.
ESP32 based animatronic show controller. 2.4GHz 802.11n wifi, ESP32 Xtensa 32-bit 240 MHz Microcontroller, 520kb SRAM, 4MByte Flash storage.
Three RGB status lights.
RS485 board to board communication daisy chain connectors.
Approximately 1.75" x 2.5" dimensions.
